Looking eastward, the first rays of sunlight cast a stunning scene across the sky on Ky Xuan beach.
From early morning, fishermen from Ky Xuan coastal village began arriving at the docks.
Tourists take advantage of the most beautiful time of day to stroll along the beach early in the morning, watch the sunrise, and personally select their own fresh seafood.
As soon as they docked, the fishermen quickly brought their catch ashore after a night of hard work fishing.
Baskets of live squid are eagerly sought after by vendors right on the shore...
...or are quickly brought to restaurants by fishermen for consumption.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ha (a fisherman from Nguyen Hue village) said: "In the past few days, the weather has been favorable, so we fishermen have been going out to sea regularly. My boat specializes in squid fishing, averaging 1-2 kg per night. Because the squid are still alive, traders buy them at a fairly high price of 400-500 thousand VND/kg depending on the time. This trip, I caught 1.5 kg, and I sold it all as soon as I got ashore. It was a bit hard work, but I'm happy because I earned some extra income."
After a sleepless night, Mr. Nguyen Van Son (Nguyen Hue village) returned to land filled with joy at catching herring and mackerel. Mr. Son said: "This trip, after deducting expenses, I earned about 500,000 dong. This motivates me to love the sea even more each day."
As the sun rose higher, boats slowly made their way to shore, one after another.

The scene of buyers, sellers, and people sorting goods unfolds busily amidst the hustle and bustle. To obtain the freshest and highest-quality seafood, traders and tourists alike must wake up early in the morning to greet the first fishing boats.
Currently, Ky Xuan commune has over 600 households engaged in fishing, with 160 boats in operation. The average income of each fishing family ranges from 6 to 15 million VND per month, depending on the time of year.
