BlackPink rejects YG.

On the morning of December 29th, YG Entertainment confirmed that the BlackPink members only signed contracts with the company to promote as a group, and did not agree to promote individually.

Speaking to Herald Pop, YG stated, "We have signed contract extensions for BlackPink's group activities. We have also agreed that we will not be signing separate contracts for their individual activities."

The company affirmed that it is doing its best to support BlackPink's activities and encourage the individual work of the four girls.

BlackPink refused to renew their individual contracts with YG, opting to maintain their activities as a group.

Earlier this year, YG Entertainment announced that all four members had renewed their group contracts but did not provide information about their individual activities.

On Christmas Day, Jennie announced the launch of her own brand called Odd Atelier. There is no information yet regarding the other three members, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo, switching companies or launching their own brands.

Jisoo is predicted to boost her acting career in 2024. The project she has confirmed her participation in is a zombie film titled Influenza , written by screenwriter Han Ji Won, the creator of the Oscar- winning film Parasite . The idol will star alongside actor Park Jung Min in this project.

Meanwhile, Lisa is preparing to perform at the Gala des Pièces Jaunes charity concert, scheduled to take place at the Accor Arena in France on January 26, 2024.
