With the spirit of "igniting patriotism" and imparting neat and tidy living skills, on March 16th in Vung Tau city ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), under the guidance of young soldiers from the 261st Air Defense Missile Regiment, 672 students from Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School experienced "a day as a soldier".

This is an annual program organized by the school's teachers in collaboration with officers and soldiers of Regiment 261 for students from grades 1-5. Its purpose is to inspire students with the image, cultural beauty, and simple lifestyle of the military, while also instilling life skills, experiences, and creativity, providing them with the foundation and tools to excel in their studies.

Young soldiers inspire students with the "young soldier dance".

The "A Day as a Soldier" program for the students was very impressive, featuring many "skillful performances" by the soldiers, especially the "dance performance" and "training march." Most impressive was when the music started playing, young soldier Corporal Nguyen Thanh Tu "twisted his body" in a "young soldier's dance," prompting hundreds of students to follow along amidst continuous cheers.

The "training march" part was also enthusiastically participated in by the students. They practiced carrying loads during long marches, folding blankets and sheets, and developing agility upon waking up each morning.

The young soldiers salute the schoolchildren.

Young soldier Nguyen Anh Tu shared: "My unit sent me to many schools to inspire students with the 'soldier's dance' and teach them how to fold blankets and sheets. Through this, the children will gradually develop a sense of cultural behavior, confidence, and teamwork when participating in group programs. This is also an opportunity to strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people, like fish and water."

Corporal Nguyen Anh Tu performed a "young soldier's dance," impressing nearly 700 students and teachers.

The school principal, Mr. Tran Quan, said that this is a very meaningful program, aiming to create a playground for students and teachers after each annual exam. Through the "A Day as a Soldier" program, students experience life in a military environment, instilling in them independent living skills and teaching them to love and respect their teachers and friends.

The students experienced "dancing along with the soldiers."

In addition, the students learn to maintain their health, strive for excellence in their studies, obey their parents and teachers, and most importantly, love their country and nation through the "a day as a soldier" program.
