Mr. Tran Thanh Giang teaches drawing to students
Kien Giang Children's House has been a trusted place for training children's talents for decades. This year, the unit opened classes to teach nearly 20 types of talents, such as: Painting, calligraphy, rhythmic gymnastics, modern dance, child modeling, guitar, organ, Taekwondo, Katedo, Vovinam. Kien Giang Children's House organizes classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings from Tuesday to Sunday, attracting nearly 500 students/week. In addition to ensuring the quality of teaching, the unit also creates conditions for students to perform regularly in public, organizes many painting, chess, and swimming competitions so that students have the opportunity to compete with other provinces.
In gifted classes, students are very enthusiastic about learning. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Tuong (mother of Truong Ung Thanh), summer is the best time for children to develop their talents and pursue their passions. If they study according to their wishes, children will enjoy it and not feel pressured.
Gifted classes flourished during the summer and then slowed down when the new school year began because students did not have time. According to gifted teachers, for gifted learning to be effective, parents need to pay attention and remind students to spend time practicing and improving regularly. If students do not have the opportunity to attend class, teachers are ready to support them to develop their talents and pursue their passions.
