The "Railway Street" was ablaze with red flags to celebrate the city's and country's major holiday. The old walls have been given a "new look" with bright colors and familiar images, contributing to beautifying the landscape and spreading awareness of maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful environment in the community. The vibrant red flame tree blossoms are a painting created by Mr. Hoang Van Sinh, an art teacher at Ngo Quyen Secondary School, in a decorative style, contributing to spreading love for his hometown of Hai Phong . This is the longest painting (over 10m), in addition to the 5m and 3m paintings, which were created by art teachers from Ngo Quyen Secondary School. Mr. Hoang Van Sinh, art teacher at Ngo Quyen Secondary School, shared: "The drawing of Kim Hue tailor shop is based on my memory of Hai Phong city in 1982-1983, when this tailor shop was located on Cat Dai Street."
"Initially, the residents were hesitant to allow the paintings, but after seeing the beautiful artwork, many households expressed a desire to have them painted on their walls," shared Pham Thi Hien, an art teacher at Tran Phu Secondary School. The teachers at Tran Phu Secondary School are putting the finishing touches on a painting before the holiday break. The image shows the Binh Bridge under construction in another painting on the railway street. Each painting bears the mark of Hai Phong: some recreate images of the past, while others depict the buildings and roads of a developing and dynamic city. The family of Mr. Dao Ngoc Son and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lien (number 11, alley 285 Cat Dai) said that since the teachers came to paint, everyone has been happy and often sits by the door admiring the painting.
Many locals and passersby, impressed by the beautiful paintings, stopped to take photos and share them with friends. The teachers of Ngo Quyen Secondary School took the opportunity to capture memories alongside the painting. Beyond spreading love for the country and Hai Phong, the activity also clearly demonstrates the role and responsibility of teachers – those who silently "paint" beautiful values from everyday life.DO HIEN
