BYD Sealion 6 reaches milestone of 1,000 vehicles delivered to Vietnamese customers.

Three months after officially introducing the Sealion 6 SUV, BYD Vietnam has successfully delivered the first 1,000 vehicles.

This is a particularly significant milestone, not only marking the initial success of the first vehicle to apply DM-i Super Hybrid technology in Vietnam, but also affirming the positive reception from consumers for BYD's green, smart, and fuel-efficient mobility solutions.

Launched on April 18, 2025 in Hanoi , the BYD Sealion 6 marks a strategic step in BYD's product expansion in Vietnam. The Sealion 6 is an SUV utilizing BYD's exclusive DM-i Super Hybrid technology, offering a completely different driving experience: smooth operation like an electric vehicle, superior fuel efficiency, and flexible maneuverability in both city and highway driving.

Immediately after its launch, BYD's C-segment SUV quickly garnered strong interest and positive feedback from Vietnamese customers. In just three months, 1,000 pioneering vehicles were delivered – reflecting the market's growing confidence in the BYD brand and its globally leading hybrid technology. This widespread customer trust demonstrates a shift in consumer preferences in the Vietnamese market towards smart, efficient, and environmentally friendly products.

The BYD Sealion 6 is equipped with a DM-i powertrain featuring a 1.5L gasoline engine combined with an electric motor and a Blade Battery pack. The vehicle boasts an all-electric range of up to 100 km, with a fuel consumption of only 3.3 liters/100 km. In real-world driving conditions in Vietnam, the Sealion 6 can achieve a maximum combined driving range of up to 1,795.1 km on a single tank of gasoline (60 liters) and a full charge, demonstrating extremely impressive energy efficiency, usefulness, and increased convenience and value for users, suitable for both urban driving and long journeys.

Alongside the successful delivery of 1,000 Sealion 6 vehicles, BYD Vietnam and its strategic partners are also accelerating the development of a nationwide charging station infrastructure. By July 2025, BYD's customer charging station network will cover more than 29 out of 34 provinces and cities, with nearly 700 charging ports, including both DC fast charging and standard AC charging. This rapid expansion of the charging network not only ensures convenience for users of the Sealion 6 and other NEV models, but also demonstrates BYD's long-term commitment to supporting Vietnam's transition to green transportation.

From the 1,001st vehicle onwards, BYD Vietnam applies a suggested retail price of 839 million VND for the Dynamic version and 936 million VND for the Premium version. This price continues to maintain the strong competitiveness of the Sealion 6 in the market, while also reflecting the true value that this model brings to users.

At BYD Vietnam, all models are covered by a standard 6-year vehicle warranty (equivalent to the first 150,000 km, whichever comes first) and an 8-year battery warranty (equivalent to the first 160,000 km, whichever comes first).
