The whole country is buzzing with excitement as it enters Election Day.

Joining in the solemn yet vibrant atmosphere of this national celebration, women across the country eagerly arrived at polling stations very early.

In accordance with the policies and directives of the Central Committee and the leadership and guidance of the Party Committee of the Government, ministries, sectors, and localities have implemented the preparation, announcement, and posting of official lists of candidates for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels in accordance with the provisions of the Election Law and the election schedule.

Following the third consultative conference, the country has 864 candidates for the 16th National Assembly in 182 constituencies; 4,227 candidates for provincial People's Councils; and 121,242 candidates for commune People's Councils.

According to data from the National Election Council, more than 78.9 million voters nationwide will participate in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, casting their ballots in 72,195 ballots.

On March 15th, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term officially took place nationwide.

This is a momentous political event for the nation, a great festival for all citizens, where each voter exercises their rights and civic duties, directly choosing outstanding and worthy representatives to represent the will and aspirations of the people in state power organs.

According to regulations, voting begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 7:00 PM on the same day. Depending on the local situation, the Election Committee may decide to start voting earlier, but not before 5:00 AM, or end later, but not later than 9:00 PM on the same day.

From early morning on March 15th, many women in traditional ao dai dresses were present at the polling stations to exercise their rights and civic duties in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The radiant smiles of the voters as they participate in this great national event, where each ballot conveys their trust and expectations in worthy representatives to represent the people.

At Electoral Unit No. 2, Polling Station No. 6, Khuong Dinh Ward, from 6:00 AM on March 15th, voters at Apartment Building 283, Khuong Trung Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Hanoi City, began reviewing the list of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Electoral Unit No. 6 has approximately 2,200 voters, including about 800 temporary residents in Groups 7, 7A, 20, and the Khuong Dinh Ward Military Command who registered to vote for the National Assembly and City People's Council candidates. In this electoral unit, there were also 5-7 elderly people who could not come to vote; the Election Committee prepared supplementary ballot boxes and sent personnel to their homes to help them exercise their rights and obligations. Electoral Unit No. 6 also has 49% female voters.

To ensure that all voters have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote, localities nationwide have proactively prepared convenient, safe, and easily accessible polling stations. Particularly in mountainous areas, remote regions, border areas, and islands, the organization of polling has been implemented flexibly, providing maximum convenience for the people. Many suitable voting options have also been developed for specific voter groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, those receiving treatment at medical facilities, or voters in detention centers.
