According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and early this morning (September 15), moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some areas, occurred in the Northern Delta region, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces .

Rainfall from 7 PM last night to 3 AM this morning exceeded 90mm in some areas, such as An Lac (Hoa Binh) 93mm, Dong Giao ( Ninh Binh ) 94.6mm, Phuc Do (Thanh Hoa) 114mm, etc.

This morning in Hoa Binh , the Northern Delta region continued to experience moderate to heavy rain, with localized very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall amounts ranging from 15-30mm, and in some places exceeding 50mm. From this afternoon onwards, the rain is expected to gradually decrease.

Heavy and prolonged rainfall is expected in North Central Vietnam, with precipitation ranging from 30-60mm from 4 AM today to 7 AM tomorrow (September 16th), and exceeding 100mm in some areas.

Additionally, today and tonight, the weather forecast for the Central Central region, the Central Highlands, and the Southern region also predicts showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy rain, with rainfall amounts ranging from 20-40mm, and in some places exceeding 70mm. The rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

The impact of heavy rain poses a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, and flooding in low-lying areas; be prepared for heavy rainfall in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. Thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
