On the world market, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange rose sharply today. Specifically, the September 2025 contract traded at $4,040 per ton, a sharp increase of 2.72% compared to the previous trading session.

Similarly, on the New York exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose sharply by 0.56% (1.8 US cents/pound), to 321.4 US cents/pound.

Coffee prices both domestically and globally are experiencing an unprecedented surge. The main reasons are scarce supply, low inventories, rising transportation costs, and global trade factors. This has pushed coffee prices to record levels, putting significant pressure on roasting businesses and consumers.

In addition, the 50% tax imposed on Brazilian coffee has driven up the price of Robusta even further.
