Not long ago, images of Vietnamese singer My Tam at the AT&T Stadium on June 22nd, cheering for Argentina in their match against Austria, garnered significant attention online. However, this moment of the "Uoc Gi" singer was later misinterpreted and associated with negative content, prompting the singer's team to issue a statement clarifying the situation.
Response from singer My Tam's side
In a recent post, My Tam's agency (MTE) warned about the spread of fake information and images impersonating the singer. The agency stated that recently, some images created using AI technology, manipulated and spread with false information related to film producer Tai , have appeared on social media.
"MTE affirms that these are completely fabricated contents, do not reflect the truth, and exploit AI technology to create misinformation, affecting the reputation and image of artists as well as negatively impacting the online information environment," the company shared.

Previously, images of My Tam attending the World Cup went viral on social media.

My Tam's team urges viewers and the online community to be vigilant and verify information from official channels before trusting or sharing any content. According to the team, creating, distributing, or sharing fake content not only affects the honor and reputation of individuals and organizations but can also lead to legal consequences for those involved, depending on the severity and nature of the act.
"MTE sincerely thanks our viewers for their trust, support, and discernment in jointly building a civilized, safe, and responsible online environment," the organization further responded.
My Tam's post quickly garnered attention from the online community. This is seen as a clever response from the female singer to the negative information being spread. The incident also prompted many to raise concerns about the need to be wary of inaccurate information and images created using AI technology in modern life.
Previously, many Vietnamese celebrities have also faced situations where their identities were impersonated by artificial intelligence products, forcing them to speak out to clarify the situation. Specifically, some malicious individuals used images of Nhat Kim Anh, Ly Hai, Dan Truong, etc., to create advertising clips for profit. Ngo Thanh Van has spoken out twice to clarify the situation, stating that she is actively working with relevant parties to handle these violations.
