After a period of care, at this time, flower gardens serving Lunar New Year in Ha Tinh have bloomed, showing off their brilliant colors, promising to bring farmers a bountiful harvest.
With an area of nearly 700m2 , at this time, the yellow chrysanthemum garden of Mr. Nguyen Tuong Que (Dong Quy residential group, Thach Quy ward, Ha Tinh city) has begun to bloom.
Mr. Que said: "This year's flower crop has had quite favorable weather, and with proper care techniques, my family's chrysanthemum garden has blossomed just in time for Tet. With 14,000 qualified flowers, this Tet is expected to bring my family an income of about 50 million VND after deducting expenses."
In addition to the number of flowers pre-ordered by customers, the remaining will be brought by Mr. Que and his wife to the flower and ornamental plant selling area for Tet on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street (Ha Tinh City) to sell from December 22.
In Mr. Mai Trong Thoi's flower garden (Quan Nam village, Hong Loc commune, Loc Ha district), 50,000 chrysanthemums grown in greenhouses have bloomed brilliantly.
Mr. Thoi’s chrysanthemum garden was planted with seeds from Da Lat 3 months ago. Thanks to his experience and flower growing techniques accumulated over many seasons, this year, Mr. Thoi “forced” the chrysanthemum garden to bloom at the right time.
With a drip irrigation system and proper fertilization techniques, Mr. Thoi's chrysanthemum garden, despite being planted on sandy soil at the foot of Hong Linh mountain, still has outstanding growth. The plant stems are about 80 cm high, the large flowers meet the same standards as those grown in Da Lat with the same variety.
Besides yellow daisies, there are also white daisies.
Also in Quan Nam village, this year Ms. Le Thi Hien's family planted 80,000 flowers of different types such as: diamond chrysanthemum, crystal chrysanthemum, raspberry chrysanthemum, lily...
Up to this point, in addition to chrysanthemums, 250 lilies of Ms. Le Thi Hien's family have been ordered by customers. Ms. Hien said: "In addition to wholesale imports to traders, we also sell flowers in the garden to retail customers. With 80,000 flowers of all kinds, this Tet season, my family expects to earn an estimated income of about 120 million VND after deducting expenses."
At this time, many people have come to the flower garden to choose and buy flowers to display for Tet.
A visitor chose chrysanthemums from Ms. Le Thi Hien's garden (Quan Nam village) to "bring spring home".
Along with Ha Tinh City and Loc Ha, these days, flower gardens in Can Loc, Nghi Xuan, Thach Ha... have also begun to bloom, farmers have begun harvesting to serve Ong Tao Festival and Lunar New Year 2024.
