How EIS builds 'educational village' model

Ho Chi Minh City European International School (EIS) builds an environmentally friendly space, multicultural training program, guiding students to become global citizens.

EIS is located at 730 FGK Le Van Mien, Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City, inside a green villa area and built in the style of an "educational village". The school provides a friendly, intimate space, maintaining a close connection between people and nature.

"However, 'educational village' refers not only to the physical space but also to the teaching philosophy at EIS," the school representative emphasized. Thanks to maintaining a small class size, each student receives attention from teachers, thereby having the opportunity to develop personal qualities, perfecting themselves to become global citizens.

According to Ms. Jo Roberts - Acting Principal of European International School, to educate students to become global citizens, the school creates an environment that helps them form a sustainable lifestyle, showing respect for the environment and others.

“Global citizenship is a core value of the school’s educational vision. Accordingly, EIS students are encouraged to make meaningful contributions to their local and wider communities, demonstrating multicultural understanding, social responsibility and promoting equity,” she added.

At EIS, teachers and parents always work closely together in academic activities, extracurricular activities, and experiential programs for students. To have a modern "educational village", the school is equipped with many new facilities such as science research rooms, creative project rooms, a 25-meter long mineral salt swimming pool, and green spaces for students to be close to nature.

Kim Han Bin - a former student of EIS class 2017 shared that he had many beautiful memories of studying at the school. The male student met his best friends and the best teachers at the school.

“I always feel very comfortable and at home when I come to school. Here, I learn the value of good time management and develop independent learning skills,” Han Bin added.

These are the skills that EIS equips students with when building an "educational village", helping them become global citizens. According to the school's leaders, the concept of global citizenship education is promoted by educational institutions in many countries, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary to contribute positively to building a fair, sustainable and peaceful world . Thanks to that, students can understand world issues, at the same time, be open to cultural diversity, develop necessary skills such as multidimensional thinking, the ability to collaborate...

Currently, EIS offers the complete International Baccalaureate (IB) Education program from 2 to 18 years old. The program is widely accepted around the world, especially in the US and European countries, to develop knowledge and social skills, equipping students with the ability to adapt in a globalized environment.

In addition to the main curriculum, during Vietnamese and international festivals such as Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Christmas, etc., the school organizes many cultural activities, extracurricular and field trips. Through this, students connect and understand more deeply the beauty of cultures around the world.

On March 15 and 29, EIS will hold an Information Day for parents to learn about the school’s facilities, curriculum, and admission information for the 2024 school year.
