On February 17th, the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee issued a decision regarding the match between CAHN FC and Tampines Rovers FC in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 Round of 16, which took place on February 11th at Hang Day Stadium. Accordingly, the Vietnamese representative was handed a 0-3 defeat for fielding two ineligible players.
Specifically, two players, Rogerio Alves Dos Santos and Stefan Ingo Mauk, despite being suspended (having received a third yellow card in the 0-1 loss to Tai Po against Hong Kong), were still registered to play by CAHN . This violates Articles 56 and 67 of the AFC Code of Discipline and Ethics, and also fails to comply with Article 25 of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 Regulations.

CAHN receives a heavy penalty from AFC.
In addition to the 0-3 defeat, CAHN also had to pay a fine of 2,000 USD (approximately 50 million VND), and 50% of the participation fee (80,000 USD) that the club was entitled to according to the tournament regulations would not be paid.
Having lost 0-3 in the first leg, Coach Polking 's team faced significant difficulties ahead of the return match against Tampines Rovers away from home. Despite winning 4-0 at Hang Day Stadium, the second leg was a major challenge for the Vietnamese representatives.
The CAHN vs Tampines Rovers match will take place at 7:15 PM on February 18th (the second day of the Lunar New Year).
