On May 31st, the Cat Lai Ward Police, Thu Duc City, in coordination with the Cat Lai Traffic Police Team and the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City, investigated the cause of the crane collapse that crushed a tractor-trailer and a car, damaging both vehicles.

According to initial information, at approximately 1 PM on the same day, a tractor-trailer and a 7-seater car were traveling on the My Thuy roundabout overpass on Vo Chi Cong Street, heading from District 7 towards Thu Duc City. As the two vehicles were descending the overpass, a crane from a construction site working on the overpass suddenly overturned and fell onto the traffic flowing on the bridge.

The incident caused traffic congestion.

The crane arm fell onto two vehicles, causing significant damage. The cab of the tractor-trailer was shattered, and the windows were cracked. Fortunately, the six people in the two vehicles were unharmed. Many vehicles traveling across the overpass panicked and managed to avoid the accident in time. The incident caused traffic congestion on the roads surrounding the overpass.

Luckily, all six people in the two vehicles escaped unharmed.

It is understood that the overturned crane belonged to a construction site working on the My Thuy roundabout overpass project. Authorities are working with the construction company to clarify the situation, resolve the issue, and alleviate traffic congestion in the area.
