It is necessary to read the Party newspaper.

Official Document No. 70-CV/TU, dated July 28, 2025, from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the purchase and reading of Party newspapers and magazines, was issued very timely, given the increasingly sophisticated distortions and subversive tactics of hostile forces. This serves as a reminder of awareness and provides guidance for cadres and Party members to consciously study political theory, cultivate critical thinking, and enhance their "immunity" against harmful information and counter the "peaceful evolution" plot.

Party newspapers are not merely a means of information, but first and foremost a tool for propaganda, education , and ideological guidance for cadres, Party members, and the people. Through insightful articles, sharp reasoning, and scientific critique, Party newspapers contribute to clarifying the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, while simultaneously exposing and refuting false and hostile arguments, thus contributing to the firm protection of the Party's ideological foundation.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always paid attention to, valued, and regularly maintained the habit of reading the Party newspaper. In his article "We Must Read the Party Newspaper," published in the Nhan Dan newspaper in June 1954, he pointed out that: "The Party newspaper is like a simple, practical, and widespread training course. It teaches us what we need to know about propaganda, organization, leadership, and work. Every day it helps to raise our political level and work productivity." He reminded: "If anyone works without reading or studying the Party newspaper, it's like walking in the dark with their eyes closed..."

Uncle Ho's teachings remain just as valuable today. Practical experience shows that cadres and Party members who remain steadfast in their stance and unwavering in the face of change are those who regularly access and study Party newspapers and magazines. Reading Party newspapers not only helps them grasp current events but also contributes to raising theoretical awareness, strengthening faith in Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the Party's reform line, helping each cadre and Party member apply them correctly to their work and life.

However, in some places, the reading and study of Party newspapers among cadres and Party members has not received adequate attention. A segment of cadres and Party members remain indifferent, rarely reading Party newspapers, and sometimes even being influenced by unofficial sources of information. This easily leads to distorted perceptions and a weakening of ideological and political "resistance."

Continuing to affirm the importance of reading Party newspapers and magazines, on April 6, 2020, the Secretariat of the Central Committee issued Notice No. 173-TB/TW on continuing to implement Directive No. 11-CT/TW of the Politburo of the 8th Party Congress, requiring cadres and Party members, especially leaders at all levels, to set an example in reading and studying Party newspapers and magazines.

Continuing that policy, on July 28, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued Document No. 70-CV/TU on strengthening the purchase and reading of Party newspapers and magazines. The document emphasized the leadership and guidance role of Party committees at all levels in thoroughly implementing this task, and also requested regular inspection, supervision, and reminders to read Party newspapers and magazines.

In recent years, Party newspapers have undergone significant transformations to adapt to the digital age. Beyond innovation in format and improved content quality, newspapers such as Nhan Dan, Quan Doi Nhan Dan, and local newspapers have strongly developed electronic platforms, applying technology and multimedia to disseminate official information faster, deeper, and more vividly. This innovation facilitates access to official press for cadres and Party members anytime, anywhere, no longer limited by the traditional print format.

Currently, with the rapid development of social media, a lot of unverified information is spreading widely. Hostile forces are increasing their subversive activities on the ideological front, seeking to sow doubt and distort the Party's policies and guidelines.

Therefore, now more than ever, every cadre and Party member needs to raise their awareness and proactively read and study Party newspapers as a regular task in ideological work. Party organizations and committees need to strengthen propaganda, encourage, and create conditions for cadres and Party members to access and effectively utilize Party newspapers.

Reading Party newspapers more frequently is not only about staying informed, but more importantly, it's about strengthening one's stance, deepening theoretical understanding, demonstrating courage in action, and remaining steadfast in one's perception, creating a "solid wall" against all influences and temptations. It's also a way for each cadre and Party member to demonstrate their responsibility to the Party and the people, maintain ideological stability, and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
