A fierce fire broke out at 6:30 AM this morning (March 31st) at a scrap metal workshop in Group 33, Hoa Tho Tay Ward, Cam Le District (Da Nang), creating a column of flames and smoke dozens of meters high. Firefighters mobilized 8 fire trucks and nearly 100 people to extinguish the blaze.

According to residents, the fire broke out around 6:30 AM, when they noticed thick black smoke rising from the workshop.

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Da Nang City Police immediately dispatched 8 fire trucks and nearly 100 people to extinguish the fire.

At the scene, police officers divided into several groups to break through the corrugated iron fence surrounding the factory in order to spray water and extinguish the fire. By approximately 8:40 AM the same day, the fire was largely under control. The fire caused some of the factory's corrugated iron roofs to collapse, and the items inside were destroyed.

The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire are currently being investigated.
