Recently, the parade rehearsals of 38 military and police units preparing for the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country have attracted great attention from the audience.
Among them, Corporal Bui Thi Phuong Ngoc, a member of the Saigon Female Commando Unit in the parade, is one of the faces that has gone viral on social media thanks to her beautiful appearance.
Bui Thi Phuong Ngoc (born in 2001), originally from Dong Nai province, currently works at the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command. In the parade formation, Phuong Ngoc had the honor of being one of the members in the position of protecting the military flag.
Since the beginning of the year, she, along with officers and soldiers from various military units, gathered at the Military School of Military Region 7 to form a collective called the Saigon Female Commando Company (A50), in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country.
On her personal page, Phuong Ngoc shared some photos of her training sessions at the training ground. She expressed her pride, excitement, and high determination to complete the assigned tasks.
Phuong Ngoc is 1.7m tall, with measurements of 82-63-94cm. She previously competed in Miss Vietnam 2022 and made it to the top 15 of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2023.
In February 2024, the Gen Z beauty put her showbiz activities on hold and volunteered for military service. Phuong Ngoc said that during her student years, she often participated in youth union activities and charity work. After graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, she wanted to train herself in a military environment, so she registered for military service.
"Defending the country is not just a man's duty. Participating in military service helps me train and develop myself into a stronger and more decisive woman. Other women have gone and trained, so I will try my best to follow in their footsteps," Phuong Ngoc shared.
Initially, Phuong Ngoc's decision to enlist worried her family. However, after convincing her parents, she received their support. Her parents were also present to cheer her on at the 2024 enlistment ceremony.
After completing her military service, the beauty queen from Dong Nai wants to serve in the army for a long time to contribute her youthful energy.
Phuong Ngoc added that participating in beauty pageants and fashion shows was just a youthful experience, and she never intended to enter the entertainment industry. She believes that beauty fades, while intelligence is what endures and creates self-worth.
"The beauty pageant has been a motivation for me to grow and gain more life experience. Knowing my strengths, weaknesses, and shortcomings helps me become a better person. Every day I learn more life skills and the essential values of a strong, independent woman," Phuong Ngoc once shared.
At the beauty pageant, Phuong Ngoc impressed with her outstanding academic achievements. She won second prize in the provincial-level excellent student competition in Literature, second prize in the city-level Elegant Ao Dai contest, and was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam while still a 12th-grade student at Xuan Loc High School (Dong Nai).
In her daily life, Phuong Ngoc prefers a feminine and elegant style. She is praised for her delicate and intelligent face. When working as an event MC, the beauty also scores points with her fluent voice and skillful communication abilities.
