Specifically, for the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, the toll rate will be applied according to Document No. 2248/BXD-CĐBVN, dated February 25, 2026, of the Ministry of Construction , at 1,300 VND/km for vehicles traveling on this expressway. The toll collection method will be a closed system using automated non-stop toll collection technology, with multi-lane free-flow ETC entry (no barriers) and single-lane exit (with barriers). Toll collection is expected to begin in March 2026.
According to this announcement, the subjects eligible for fee exemption or reduction are those specified in Article 6 of Government Decree No. 130/2024/ND-CP dated October 10, 2024.
Previously, the Ministry of Construction had sent a document to the Vietnam Road Administration approving the toll rates for the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway as requested by the Vietnam Road Administration.
The Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway is part of the North-South Expressway Project (Eastern section, 2017-2020). This expressway is privately owned, with the State acting as the representative owner and directly managing and operating it. The expressway is approximately 99km long, passing through the provinces of Lam Dong and Dong Nai . Of this, the section within Dong Nai province is over 51km long.
Construction on the project commenced in late September 2020. This expressway is being built to Class A highway standards, with a design speed of 120 km/h. The phased construction includes a complete 4-lane highway, with a total adjusted investment of over 12.5 trillion VND. By April 29, 2023, the main section of the project had been opened to traffic and put into operation.
