By the morning of September 3rd, representatives from the unit managing the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet expressway announced that they had resolved the issue of sand landslides onto this section of the road.
Earlier, at around 10:10 PM on September 2nd, heavy and prolonged rain caused a landslide on the sandbank above the residential area, with sand spilling onto the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, the section passing through Ham Liem commune, Lam Dong province.

Rainwater and sand covered a section of the road, approximately 100 meters long and 50 centimeters thick, completely blocking traffic.
At this time, many cars are having difficulty moving, forcing them to reduce their maximum speed or even come to a complete stop.
Immediately after receiving the information, traffic police arrived at the scene to coordinate the handling of the situation.

To ensure safety, vehicles traveling from North to South have been temporarily directed to exit the expressway at the Ma Lam interchange, follow National Highway 28 and then National Highway 1 to continue their journey.
By around 1 AM on September 3rd, the cleanup work on the highway was completed. Currently, the affected section of the highway is open to traffic again.
