Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport , Capello said that Flick had made wrong tactical decisions. He analyzed: "Simone Inzaghi made the right decisions and took advantage of key moments, while Flick was too arrogant. He kept playing defensively one-on-one without realising that the situation required more caution."

The Italian coach insisted that tactical errors had cost Barcelona dearly. The Catalans led 3-2 against Inter Milan until injury time at the end of the second half, before Francesco Acerbi equalised with a close-range finish. Centre-back Ronald Araujo was at fault for failing to contain Acerbi.

Legendary Rivaldo also agreed with Capello. He said: "It was a painful defeat and hard to swallow. Barcelona made small and irreparable mistakes. You cannot concede goals like that in the Champions League semi-finals."

Besides criticizing Flick, Capello also praised Luis Enrique's coaching talent, when he helped PSG reach the Champions League final.

“Luis Enrique is a very talented coach. He has built his team based on his football philosophy and created a structure that really works. Enrique's team is very balanced. They may not be physically strong, but they have great speed and tactical thinking in midfield," Capello commented.

Barcelona will play El Clasico against Real Madrid in La Liga on May 11. Flick's team is still on track to win the domestic championship this year.

Barca's 3 goals in the match against Inter On the morning of May 7, Barcelona led 3-2 until the 90+2 minute but was still equalized by Inter, then lost 3-4 in extra time in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.
