Having been receiving treatment for a lung disease at Quang Nam Provincial General Hospital for over a month, Mrs. Huynh Thi Cuc (56 years old, from Thang Binh district) went there to get a free haircut when she heard about the free haircut service at the hospital.
What surprised Mrs. Cúc when she arrived was the warm and attentive welcome she received, along with advice on a suitable hairstyle. In just 20 minutes, she had a neatly trimmed new haircut.
Ms. Cúc shared: “I haven't had time to get a haircut while I've been in the hospital. I'm so happy to have the children cut my hair today. Even though it was free, they were very enthusiastic and the hairstyle turned out beautifully.”
Mr. Vo Tan Hoa (60 years old, Tien Phuoc district) said that he had known about this free haircut service for more than a month, and he was very happy to be welcomed by the young people and have his hair cut again this time.
"I hope this initiative will continue to help more people in difficult circumstances have neat hair and feel more at ease while receiving treatment."

The Tam Ky City Volunteer Haircutting Group was established over 5 years ago with the participation of more than 10 members who are young, skilled hairdressers from barbershops in the Tam Ky area.
Regularly at 2:30 PM every Wednesday, the members bring their tools to the meeting point and begin their familiar work, bringing joy to others and accumulating happiness for themselves.
The enthusiasm, skill, and cheerfulness of the young volunteers not only helped patients have neat and clean hair but also brought them joy after long days of treatment at the hospital.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Tuan, head of the volunteer haircutting group in Tam Ky City, the idea of offering free haircuts to patients originated from a visit to a sick relative. At that time, Mr. Tuan noticed that patients undergoing long-term treatment at the hospital had unkempt hair, causing discomfort in hot weather.
"When I suggested the idea of offering free haircuts to patients at the hospital, the staff at the shop all agreed and supported it. Later, many people working at other barbershops also joined in. Free haircuts not only help patients reduce costs during difficult times, but also contribute to encouraging them to overcome their illness," Tuan shared.
