274 billion VND bridge connecting Da Nang

Da Nang proposed handing over the entire Quang Da Bridge and its lighting system to the city for management, while the approach roads to the bridge in Quang Nam province would be the responsibility of that province.

On November 15th, the Da Nang City Department of Transport announced that the City People's Committee is seeking opinions from the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee regarding the handover and management of the Quang Da Bridge after its completion and commissioning.

Accordingly, the Quang Da bridge and access road project has a total investment of over 274 billion VND, commenced on December 14, 2023, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The project aims to enhance transportation connectivity between Da Nang and Quang Nam, contributing to the socio -economic development of both localities.

The Quang Da bridge project, located in Quang Nam province, includes a 104m long bridge, a 5m long approach road, and a lighting system and landscaping.

The Da Nang City People's Committee proposed a plan to transfer the entire bridge and lighting system to Da Nang for management, while the approach road to the bridge in Quang Nam would be the responsibility of Quang Nam province.

At the same time, to ensure effective management, Da Nang has established a coordination mechanism between the functional forces of the two localities to handle related situations such as property damage, traffic accidents, and ensuring the safety corridor of the bridge.

Furthermore, to facilitate the handover process, the Da Nang City People's Committee is currently seeking feedback from the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee regarding this management and handover plan.

The Quang Da Bridge, spanning the Yen River, has a total length of over 1.4km. The bridge itself is 204m long and 22m wide, while the approach roads at both ends are over 1.2km long.

The route begins at Km 31+087, intersecting with National Highway 14B (in Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), and ends at the connection point with the Northern Ring Road project of Quang Nam province (in Dien Tien commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province).
