In the 2026-2027 10th grade entrance exam, Nguyen Vu Tien Doan, a student from Thai Nguyen Secondary School (Nha Trang ward), achieved a total score of 58 – the highest entrance score in the Computer Science specialization at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - South Nha Trang, and was one of nine candidates to achieve a perfect score of 10 in the specialized subject in this exam. This is a well-deserved achievement for him after many years of persistently pursuing his passion for programming.

Tien Doan's passion for computer science was nurtured from a very young age. Even in his early years of junior high school, his curiosity about computers and software spurred him to delve deeper into the field of programming. From basic lessons in class, Tien Doan proactively sought knowledge on the internet, read specialized documents, and challenged himself with programming problems ranging from simple to complex. "I really enjoy programming and designing software projects. Every time I solve a difficult algorithm or complete a new program, I feel very happy and more motivated to continue learning and exploring ," Tien Doan shared.

That passion became the driving force behind Tien Doan's continuous efforts throughout his years at Thai Nguyen Secondary School. For four consecutive years, he achieved the title of outstanding student; in particular, he always scored 10 in Computer Science. Not only did he excel in class, but he also actively participated in intellectual competitions to hone his skills and gain experience. These efforts were recognized with many encouraging achievements such as: a consolation prize in Computer Science at the school level in the 2024-2025 school year; a consolation prize in the Central Region Young Informatics Competition in the 2025-2026 school year. Notably, for two consecutive years, Tien Doan was selected to represent Khanh Hoa province in the final round of the National Young Informatics Competition.

Entering the 9th grade, Tien Doan clearly defined his goal: to become a Computer Science major at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Nam Nha Trang. To achieve this goal, he developed a scientific study plan, dedicating significant time to self-study and practicing advanced problems related to algorithms and programming. In addition to classroom lessons, he regularly researched advanced materials, participated in online learning forums, and independently solved challenging problems to hone his logical thinking. This process required perseverance, as finding the solution wasn't always easy. “Besides my own efforts, I received tremendous encouragement and support from my family and teachers. This motivated me to continue pursuing my passion and achieve the results I have today,” Tien Doan expressed.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, a computer science teacher who directly mentored the gifted student team at Thai Nguyen Secondary School, Tien Doan is a student with excellent thinking skills, diligence, and an admirable self-learning spirit.
