How could they let the children go to school hungry? The teachers decided to sell two pigs they had bought and raised themselves in preparation for the upcoming Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. The money from the sale of the pigs would be used to provide lunch for the students.
In early May 2023, after Thanh Nien newspaper and several other newspapers reported on the story, philanthropists nationwide immediately donated 116 million VND to the school. Some even promised to provide an additional 2 tons of rice and 100 kg of meat for the 2023-2024 school year.
In particular, someone bought the pair of pigs for 7 million VND and then donated them to the teachers and students to use during the end-of-year school ceremony.
