Quang Ngai: Numerous dangers from vehicles transporting construction materials.

On December 12th, the People's Committee of Kon Tum ward (Quang Ngai province) announced that it had sent a document requesting the Traffic Police Department of Quang Ngai province to inspect and strictly handle trucks violating regulations on load capacity and environmental sanitation on the Ho Chi Minh Highway section passing through the ward.

According to the document, the People's Committee of Kon Tum Ward has recently received numerous complaints about trucks carrying construction materials that appear to be overloaded, oversized, and not properly covered, resulting in water leakage and material spillage onto the road. This situation occurs especially at night, causing traffic safety hazards, damaging infrastructure, polluting the environment, and affecting the lives of residents. Recognizing that these violations exceed the local authority's jurisdiction, the People's Committee of the ward has requested relevant agencies to investigate and handle the matter.

As reported by SGGP newspaper, trucks carrying sand from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai travel on National Highway 24 and Ho Chi Minh Highway, passing through Kon Tum ward and neighboring communes, allowing water to drip from the vehicles onto the road surface, causing environmental damage.
