PVF player fainted at National U21 tournament

Midfielder Thai Ba Dat was unconscious and had to leave the field on a stretcher after a dangerous head collision in the match between U21 PVF and U21 Thanh Hoa on the afternoon of July 4.

PVF midfielder Thai Ba Dat had an unfortunate incident that resulted in him losing consciousness in the match between PVF U21 and Thanh Hoa U21 in the 2025 National U21 qualifying round. Specifically, in a situation of fighting for a high ball in the 36th minute, Ba Dat had a strong head collision with Truong Thanh Nam of Thanh Hoa U21.

The collision caused the midfielder born in 2005 to collapse on the field and become unconscious. Immediately, medical staff entered the field to provide first aid and took Ba Dat off the field for further observation. According to initial information, the player's condition is stable, with no serious injuries recorded.

Despite losing an important player, U21 PVF still won 2-0 thanks to goals from Hoang Anh and Hai Nam. Notably, Hoang Anh was the one who came on to replace Thai Ba Dat.

Thai Ba Dat grew up from the PVF training center and has shone many times in youth tournaments. He contributed greatly to helping PVF win many tournaments such as U15, U17 National Cup and U17 National. In 2023, Ba Dat and U21 PVF came from behind to defeat U21 SLNA to win the U21 National Championship. He was also the Outstanding Player of the tournament.

At the 2022 National U17, Ba Dat even won the double title of "Best Player" and "Top Scorer". This young player also made a strong impression in the U19 tournaments, with beautiful goals, once compared to David Beckham's "super products". In August 2023, Ba Dat also made a great contribution to helping U23 Vietnam win the U23 Southeast Asian Championship.
