Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed in an interview that he also uses ChatGPT and is very excited about its unique applications.

Specifically, in an interview on June 6, Apple CEO shared with the program “Good Morning America” about some issues surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). He said that although Apple integrates AI technology into its products, the public does not think of these features as AI.

Tim Cook also sees great potential in the (LLM) model – the technology behind OpenAI and Google Bard’s ChatGPT chatbot. However, in some cases, it will be detrimental by bringing bias and misinformation…

The Apple CEO also offered his thoughts on regulation and “guardrails.” Regulation will have a hard time even if progress is made because AI is developing so quickly, so he believes the company itself has a responsibility to regulate.

Last week, several tech leaders including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei signed a joint statement on the risks of AI.

On June 5, Apple held its WWDC 2023 developer event, where it introduced new applications of machine learning technology for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as well as better AI tools for autocorrection and spell check in texting, and more comprehensive facial recognition to identify friends, family, and pets in photos.
