As one of the households receiving 80 million VND in support to build a new house, Mr. Le Cong Hoan, from Vinh Tuy 4 village, Vinh Ninh commune, is extremely excited that in just a few months, his family will be living in a spacious and sturdy new house.
After participating in the Central Highlands Campaign, Mr. Hoan was given the opportunity to study automotive engineering and then taught in Nha Trang. Later, he returned to his hometown to retire and received a disability pension as stipulated by the State. Despite many years of hard work, he and his wife still haven't been able to build a new house. Their current home remains a dilapidated, low-lying, single-story house.
"I am deeply moved by the Party and Government's attention and support in building my house. This is a great source of encouragement, both materially and spiritually, for those of us who contributed to the revolution to stabilize our lives," Mr. Hoan shared.

Implementing the housing support project for people who contributed to the revolution and relatives of martyrs, 37 households in Vinh Ninh commune are eligible for support in building new houses or repairing existing ones. According to Hoang Van Tinh, Vice Chairman of the Vinh Ninh Commune People's Committee, the locality has 6 households eligible for new house construction and 31 households for house repairs. After establishing the steering committee, the commune proceeded to review the eligible households to ensure timely implementation. The local authorities have worked with the villages and households to start construction according to schedule. To date, the commune has started construction on 4 new houses and many houses have been basically completed and handed over to the families of those who contributed to the revolution for use.
With the determination to complete housing support for families of revolutionary martyrs according to the set plan, in recent times, Quan Hau town has actively implemented specific and practical solutions to accelerate the progress of completing the construction and repair of houses for households in the area.
According to Bui Thi Thu Tham, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quan Hau town, the town has focused on directing the repair and construction of houses for 34 households eligible for support (including 7 new houses and 27 houses undergoing repairs). In addition to the budget allocation, the town has called upon and mobilized the people to contribute funds to further support disadvantaged families; at the same time, it has mobilized political organizations and associations to contribute labor, helping to reduce costs and accelerate construction progress. To date, the town has started construction and repair work on 12 houses, with 2 houses already completed and put into use.

According to Tran Van Lai, Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Development Department of Quang Ninh District, in implementing the housing support project for people who contributed to the revolution and relatives of martyrs' families in the district, local Party committees and authorities have actively participated, reviewing, guiding, inspecting, and urging households to carry out house construction and repair. Each newly built house receives 80 million VND in support, and each house undergoing renovation or repair receives 40 million VND. During the implementation process, many households faced difficulties due to limited finances, lack of family support, old age, poor health, etc. Local authorities directed Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, and mobilized the people to participate in donating and supporting these households with labor, ensuring that the projects were completed on schedule.
| In 2025, Quang Ninh district will support the construction of 563 houses for people who contributed to the revolution and relatives of martyrs' families, including 115 new houses and 448 houses that need renovation. To date, localities in the district have started construction on 300 houses, including 52 new houses and 248 houses that need renovation or repair. |
According to Le Ngoc Huan, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh District People's Committee: The housing support project for people who contributed to the revolution and relatives of martyrs' families is not only an important political task but also a deeply humane responsibility of the Party and Government towards those who contributed to the revolution. In that spirit, the district has directed the entire political system to participate and actively implement the construction and repair of houses for families in the area. During the implementation process, localities have done a good job of disseminating information to the people, coordinating the review of people who contributed to the revolution and relatives of martyrs' families eligible for support, assessing the current housing situation and needs of households, promoting democracy, and following the correct procedures and guidelines.
Currently, some houses in the district have completed renovation and repair and are awaiting inspection and commissioning. Quang Ninh district aims to have 100% of houses started construction by the end of May 2025 and to complete the construction, renovation and repair of houses for revolutionary veterans and relatives of martyrs' families in the district by September 30, 2025.
