Provincial Red Cross Society and philanthropists support people of Truong Son commune

(QBĐT) - On June 27, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the volunteer group Dare Association (Hanoi City) and sponsors in Hai Phong City to organize a gift-giving program to support poor households and students in difficult circumstances in Truong Son Commune (Quang Ninh).

The program presented 40 bicycles, each worth 1.8 million VND, to 40 poor students who have overcome difficulties, to help them more conveniently go to school and continue to strive to excel in their studies.

The delegation also presented 60 water filters, lighting equipment, helmets, etc. to households in difficult circumstances, contributing to improving living conditions and protecting the health of people in the highlands.

In addition, 10 cash gifts, each worth 1.5 million VND, were also given to children affected by Agent Orange and disabled children in the area.

In particular, the units also donated 36 million VND to kindergartens and primary schools in Truong Son commune, contributing to supporting facilities and improving the quality of teaching and learning in the locality. The total value of this donation is over 180 million VND.

The program not only has material value but also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and support, contributing to spreading acts of kindness in the community, encouraging households and students of Truong Son commune to continue to strive to improve in life.
