In recent times, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has achieved many outstanding results in many fields, making practical contributions to the cause of great national unity. With the first female President after 95 years of establishment and development, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to affirm its role and position in the new period.

In recent times, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has performed well its role in listening to, gathering, and reflecting people's opinions and recommendations; strengthening social supervision and criticism activities, participating in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; uniting and connecting with compatriots of all ethnic groups, religions, and overseas Vietnamese; calling on and mobilizing organizations and individuals at home and abroad to join the Party and State in helping the poor, providing disaster relief, preventing and fighting epidemics, contributing to ensuring social security, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also strengthens close relationships and coordination with the Government, ministries, branches, central and local agencies; at the same time, pays attention to personnel work, infrastructure conditions, information technology application and operation of the "Digital Front Portal" to receive people's opinions 24/7 to digitize the Front's work, practically implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; arranges and streamlines the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State in accordance with the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat and the guidance of central ministries, branches and departments.

On November 4, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. According to the Politburo's decision, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City Delegation of the 15th National Assembly, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term; transferred and assigned to participate in the 13th Party Central Committee's Secretariat and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam affirmed: “Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots and has a lot of experience in mass mobilization, solidarity, gathering and mobilizing the people. She also served as Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission and during her time as Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, she and the Hanoi Party Committee successfully completed the assigned tasks.”

According to the General Secretary, the successful results of Hanoi City in the recent past are demonstrated through the completion of the targets and objectives of the Party's and the City's resolutions; the appearance of the Capital is spacious, the growth of Hanoi City is 1.4 times higher than before; the completion of the organizational apparatus, the arrangement of the two-level government to operate effectively, meeting the requirements of the assigned tasks. These results have the contribution of the City Party Committee, especially Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai with the responsibility of Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation. This is clearly shown in the evaluation results at the 18th Congress of Hanoi City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

On November 7, the 5th Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term unanimously agreed to elect Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations - to join the Central Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, 2024 - 2029 term. This is the first female Chairwoman in the 95-year history of formation and development of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her honor to be elected by the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to hold the position of Chairwoman.

“This is an honor and also a great responsibility that the Party and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have entrusted to me. First of all, I would like to express my sincere and deep gratitude to the members of the Presidium who introduced me, and the members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front who have trusted and believed in me,” shared the new President Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

According to Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, over the 95 years of formation and development founded and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has been continuously consolidated and strengthened, increasingly affirming its important role and position in the political system and people's lives.

Emphasizing that as the successor, with the role and responsibility as the head of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her deep gratitude to the previous Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, generations of leaders and cadres of the Front who have created a rich tradition and built a solid foundation for the work of the Front.

Inheriting and promoting the achievements, President Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that she will make every effort, together with the Standing Committee, the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to unite, unify leadership, promote the role and responsibility of the Front and mass organizations, making practical contributions to the cause of great national unity; continue to affirm more clearly the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new revolutionary period, and comprehensively lead the implementation of the Front's functions and tasks.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to urgently implement the program and plan to deploy the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term, along with the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the Congress; lead and direct the successful organization of the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term; effectively deploy the task of the Front participating in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; preside over and coordinate the collection of comments from all walks of life on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; continue to perfect the project to arrange press agencies and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State according to the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat; do a good job of monitoring, social criticism, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
