At the 5th Conference of the 10th tenure, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on November 7 unanimously agreed to elect Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and central organizations to participate in the Central Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, term 2024-2029.

The conference was organized in a combination of in-person and online formats to provinces and cities.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat; Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, former President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Fatherland Front Party Committee, and central organizations.

The conference listened to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, announce the Politburo 's opinion on the personnel introduced for consultation to elect President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.

The conference also heard Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, present the report of the Presidium on supplementing and replacing personnel participating in the Committee members, members of the Presidium, Standing Committee and holding the position of President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029.

Accordingly, based on the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Politburo's decision on personnel work, with a high sense of responsibility, democracy and solidarity, the Conference focused on discussing and completing the proposed program.

In her acceptance speech, the new Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, expressed her honor to be elected by the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

"This is an honor and also a great responsibility that the Party and the Vietnam Fatherland Front have entrusted to me. First of all, I would like to express my sincere and deep gratitude to the members of the Presidium who introduced me, and to the members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front who trusted and believed in me," said President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Organization Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

According to Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai, over the 95 years of formation and development, founded and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has been constantly consolidated and strengthened, increasingly affirming its important role and position in the political system and people's lives.

Emphasizing her role and responsibility as the head of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the previous Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, generations of leaders and cadres of the Front who have created a rich tradition and built a solid foundation for the work of the Front.

In particular, in the recent period, Chairman Do Van Chien and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have led and directed, leaving many innovative marks in the work of the Front.

Notably, the Front has performed well its role in listening, gathering, and reflecting people's opinions and recommendations; strengthened social supervision and criticism activities, participated in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; united and bonded with compatriots of all ethnic groups, religions, and overseas Vietnamese; called on and mobilized organizations and individuals at home and abroad to join the Party and State in helping the poor, providing disaster relief, preventing and fighting epidemics, contributing to ensuring social security, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction; strengthened the close relationship and coordination between the Front and the Government, ministries, branches, central and local agencies; At the same time, pay attention to personnel work, infrastructure conditions, apply information technology and operate the "Digital Front Portal" to receive people's opinions 24/7 to digitize the Front's work, practically implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; carry out the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State in accordance with the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat and the guidance of the Central committees, ministries and branches.

Inheriting and promoting the achievements, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that she will make every effort, together with the Standing Committee, the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to unite, unify leadership, promote the role and responsibility of the Front and mass organizations, contribute practically to the cause of great national unity, continue to affirm more clearly the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new revolutionary period, and comprehensively lead the implementation of the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to urgently implement the program and plan to deploy the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term and the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the Congress; lead and direct the successful organization of the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term; effectively deploy the Front's tasks of participating in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; preside over and coordinate the collection of comments from all walks of life on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; continue to perfect the project to arrange press agencies and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State according to the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat; do a good job of monitoring, social criticism, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

"I request and hope that you, the seniors, gentlemen, and comrades in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations will help and accompany me to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and State," said President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai.
