The 6th Vietnam Red Cross Society Patriotic Emulation Congress will take place on November 22-23.

The 6th Vietnam Red Cross Patriotic Emulation Congress will take place over two days, from November 22-23 in Hanoi, with about 400 delegates and guests attending, including 270 advanced models honored and rewarded. This is the information given by Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society at a press conference to inform about the Congress.

In preparation for the National Congress, the Central Red Cross Society has directed 34 provinces and cities to organize a solemn, practical, and widely influential exemplary conference at all levels. Thereby, thousands of outstanding cadres, members and volunteers were honored and introduced to the Congress as worthy representatives of the spirit of "Emulation is patriotism - Humanity is the source of love".

At the press conference, delegates heard general information about the results of the patriotic emulation movement in the 2020-2025 period; valuable lessons learned; and major orientations for the emulation movement in the 2025-2030 period.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, the coming period poses many new requirements: digital transformation takes place extensively, the need for social security increases, the international humanitarian context changes rapidly, climate change is severe... That requires the Association to continue to innovate, create, professionalize its activities, enhance forecasting capacity; build a team of brave, dedicated, and professional cadres, members, and volunteers; expand cooperation and further spread Vietnamese humanitarian culture. The Association's patriotic emulation movement in the new period will focus on the grassroots; focus on innovation and creativity; strengthen digital transformation; deepen major movements such as Humanitarian Month, Humanitarian Tet, voluntary blood donation, "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"... to contribute to building a humane, safe, and resilient society in the face of the challenges of the times.

The 6th Vietnam Red Cross Patriotic Emulation Congress aims to summarize and comprehensively evaluate the patriotic emulation movement and reward work for the period 2020-2025; honor outstanding collectives and individuals; propose directions, tasks and solutions for the emulation movement for the period 2025-2030. The Congress is an event of special political and social significance, taking place on the occasion of the entire Association celebrating its 79th anniversary (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2025) and implementing the Program "Humanitarian Strength 2025", a great festival honoring the humanitarian spirit, spreading compassion in the community. Through the Congress, the Associations at all levels continue to arouse and spread more strongly the spirit of "competing to do good deeds", becoming a driving force to promote humanitarian movements to develop extensively and sustainably, contributing to building a compassionate society, leaving no one behind. This is also a very special congress, a congress of innovation, transformation and spreading Vietnamese humanity in the new era; at the same time, it is the congress ending the patriotic emulation period of the 3-level local government model to the 2-level local government model.
