Smart vision care

This strategic partnership is a step towards bringing world-leading diagnostic and treatment technologies to Vietnam. It is a crucial foundation for improving the quality of vision care, moving towards a smart, efficient, and sustainable healthcare ecosystem.

The technology ecosystem transferred from Topcon Healthcare to Saigon Eye – Vietnam's leading eye care hospital and clinic system under the Saigon Medical Group – is expected to create a 'Smart Hospital' model. The philosophy of 'Smart Images - Smart Processes - Smart Results' is not just about installing equipment, but about restructuring the entire eye care process, using data and technology to deliver optimal clinical outcomes.

Collaborating with Topcon Healthcare and DKSH Vietnam is a strategic step to realize our vision of a 'Smart Hospital' model, where technology and the expertise of our medical team combine to create the best treatment outcomes."

AI and integrated data are key pillars.

The focus of this collaboration is the application of Topcon Healthcare's advanced digital and AI solutions to the diagnostic process. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, corneal mapping, and ocular biometrics will be integrated into a unified data management software platform.

This integration allows doctors to gain a comprehensive view of the patient's eye condition, synchronize data, and accurately monitor the progression of the disease.

In particular, Topcon Healthcare's Artificial Intelligence (AI) is deployed to support retinal image analysis, screening, and early detection of signs of complex retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.

AI acts as a powerful assistant, helping to minimize subjective errors and significantly shorten diagnostic time, enhancing the accuracy of clinical decisions.

Mr. Leo Nagatake, CEO of Topcon Healthcare SEA, emphasized the importance of technology integration: "This collaboration reaffirms Topcon Healthcare's long-term commitment to equipping healthcare professionals in Vietnam with technology to transform eye care processes. Through the integration of imaging solutions, data management, and AI, we aim to create a smarter and more connected ophthalmology ecosystem that benefits both doctors and patients."

Professional quality according to international standards.

This collaboration has profound social significance. The deployment of Topcon Healthcare's integrated technology system at the Saigon Eye Hospital system, along with operational and technical support from DKSH Vietnam, is a commitment to community visual health.

This helps standardize diagnostic procedures, enhance the professional capacity of Vietnamese doctors, and expand access to internationally standardized ophthalmology services right in the country.
