The workshop was attended by leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Editors-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-Chief; Heads and Deputy Heads of Departments; Editorial Secretaries and staff in charge of content production at press agencies in the Northern region.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association delivered the opening speech at the workshop.

In the context of digital transformation and streamlining the apparatus, many localities have merged Newspapers and Radio - Television Stations towards a converged newsroom model and multi-platform journalism. This is an important step, helping to unify focal points, improve management efficiency and gradually build a modern, professional press. However, the practice of operating a converged newsroom after the merger still poses many challenges in management, organization of multi-platform content production and development of a multi-talented reporter team.

The workshop is a forum for press agency leaders to exchange experiences, share practical models and propose solutions to improve editorial management capacity, content quality and press performance.

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing key contents including: Experience in building, organizing and operating a national and international convergent newsroom; Model of meeting, coordinating article lines, editorial mechanism and multi-platform content production; Application of technology and data in content management and public analysis; Experience in human resource management, conflict resolution, motivation and development of a multi-talented team of journalists; Practical lessons from Central and local Newspaper and Radio - Television agencies.

The Organizing Committee received many quality presentations from leaders of press agencies. Many presentations delved into the practical implementation of the converged newsroom model, sharing experiences in organizing multi-platform production, thereby bringing many valuable lessons to the delegates attending.

The workshop is expected to contribute to orienting journalism training, while improving management and operational capacity of converged newsrooms in the current context of multi-platform media and strong digital transformation.
