
On the afternoon of November 17, many roads in Khanh Hoa province such as Nguyen Khuyen, April 2, Thoai Ngoc Hau, Pham Van Dong, October 23... were deeply flooded, disrupting people's lives.


From above, the western area of Nha Trang looks like a sea of water after two days of heavy rain.

The streets turned into rivers, isolating all people's activities.



People in Tay Nha Trang ward were taken out of the flooded area by authorities.


The water level rose so the elderly and children were moved by buoys and boats by authorities to ensure safety.

Authorities prepared many buoys for rescuing people from flooded areas.

October 23rd Street (West Nha Trang Ward) was flooded so deeply that vehicles could not move, forcing people to wade.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan (62 years old) suffered a stroke and had difficulty walking. He was taken out of the flooded area by authorities and waited for his family to take him to safety.

The flood discharge, along with heavy rain from upstream, has caused the downstream area of Cai River in Nha Trang to be even more flooded. The weather is forecast to remain complicated tonight and the morning of November 18 with heavy rain.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province, Hoa Son, Da Ban, Suoi Trau, Suoi Dau, Cam Ranh, Suoi Hanh, and Ta Ruc lakes are currently discharging water at a flow rate of 4.5 - 52.9m3 / second.
