On June 15, the Military Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to evaluate the mid-term implementation of the Resolution of the 6th Congress of the Military Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2020-2025.

Opening the conference, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Secretary of the Military Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that the mid-term meeting of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee took place at a time when there were many important events for the general situation of the world and the whole country. Especially in the past few days, there have been some developments related to national defense and security.
According to him, from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term until now, the Military Party of Ho Chi Minh City has faced many problems to be solved. In addition to the 7 specific tasks set out at the 19th Congress of the Military Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the actual situation has many arising issues that require the military force of Ho Chi Minh City to step in, especially the prevention of the Covid-XNUMX epidemic.

He reiterated that in 2021, Ho Chi Minh City will make every effort to overcome the pandemic, then recover the economy and overcome the consequences, and in 2023, the complicated world situation has a direct impact on Ho Chi Minh City. In that context, the Party Committee and High Command of Ho Chi Minh City made great efforts, sticking to the assigned tasks, flexibly and creatively performing the immediate tasks as well as related issues, under the leadership and direction of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Zone 7, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the conference, Secretary of Military Party Committees of districts and Thu Duc city proposed many contents, especially policies on army rear. Regarding this content, Comrade Nguyen Van Nen noted, the Military Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City needs to pay more attention to the policy of the army's rear. In particular, in addition to the general policy of the city, localities also need to pay special attention to each case, especially those with difficult circumstances participating in military service.
Comrade analyzed, the policy of the army's rear is not a small thing, if the output is well done for the returnees, it will be part of the motivation for young volunteers to enlist in the army. Comrade stressed, the youth force completing military service is a high-quality human resource, trained in the army, so there must be policies to attract this force.
