Four economic corridors include: Economic corridor along the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway; economic corridor along National Highway 1 and National Highway 50B; economic corridor along the coastal road and National Highway 50; Economic corridor along the Tien River connecting urban and industrial areas with the Mekong Delta.
The three development breakthroughs are: Infrastructure; Administrative reform; Improve the investment environment and human resources.
At the Conference, Tien Giang province introduced its geographical location; revolutionary historical and cultural traditions; potential, advantages, development orientation. The province announced a list of 40 projects calling for investment in the fields of: urban development and residential areas; trade, services, tourism; industry; medical, educational, cultural and environmental infrastructure; agriculture, with a total investment capital of nearly 53.000 billion VND. These projects will concretize the Planning and promote Tien Giang's socio-economic development.
In particular, Tien Giang awarded Investment Policy Approval Decisions and Investment Registration Certificates to 14 projects, with a total capital of nearly 17.000 billion VND; awarded the Decision on investment research policy for 10 other projects with a total capital of about 37.000 billion VND.
Speaking at the Conference, the Prime Minister clearly analyzed the position, role, importance, perspectives and tasks of planning work, the situation of planning development in the whole country, and emphasized the construction , planning approval is an important step, it must be implemented well according to the planning, ensuring stability, minimizing unnecessary adjustments.
