Nottingham Forest may not be among the Premier League's strongest clubs at the moment, but if they were relegated, football fans around the world would be devastated. The two-time European champions have everything you'd expect from an exciting Premier League: loud, chaotic, with unexpected highs and a crazy chairman.

There was a time when English football fans thought they had lost the name Nottingham Forest forever. In 2005, they were relegated to the Second Division, teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, facing the tragedy of sinking into the past that many big football teams in the world have had to go through.

Nottingham were rescued in 2008 and returned to the First Division, where they struggled for several seasons. In 2017, Nottingham Forest finished 21st in the table, just enough to avoid relegation to the Second Division.

And that same summer, billionaire Marinakis bought the team. It was the Greek billionaire who brought Nottingham Forest back to the center of the English football map, in a way that no one expected.
