On the morning of March 28, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 7 (Ho Chi Minh City) coordinated with relevant units to handle the scene and investigate the container truck fire on Phu My Bridge.
At approximately 6:30 AM on the same day, the male driver was operating a container truck on Vo Chi Cong Street, heading from Thu Duc City towards District 7.

As the container truck approached the Phu My Bridge (District 7), the driver noticed something unusual with smoke coming from the engine. The driver quickly pulled the truck to the left lane and exited the cabin.
The front of the container truck then burst into flames. At the scene, a column of black smoke rose more than ten meters high, and the intense heat prevented vehicles from passing through. The incident caused traffic congestion in the area.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire and Rescue Police Team of District 7 dispatched numerous vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to quickly extinguish the fire. The vehicle fire caused no casualties but completely destroyed the front of the container truck.
The cause of the container truck fire on Phu My Bridge is still being investigated by authorities.
