Coming from a farming family, the early years of their marriage were very difficult for Huong and her husband. Her husband worked as a construction laborer, while she stayed home helping her grandparents dry longan fruit and cultivate two plots of rice paddies. At one point, the couple tried raising pigs but suffered losses.

After three years, she switched to selling goods at the market while also growing onions as a crop. During those years, onions were a new crop that people in the village were experimenting with growing.

Recognizing the potential of onion cultivation, in 2005, the couple boldly leased more land to expand their onion farming area. Each crop ranged from 8 sao to 1 ha. With a keen business sense and established connections from selling goods at the market, Ms. Huong discussed with her husband the possibility of borrowing more money to open an onion drying factory.

Thanks to reasonable prices, reputation, and quality, Ms. Huong's family has become increasingly well-known. Besides customers within the province, Ms. Huong has also attracted many customers from Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh , Ha Nam, Hanoi, and other areas. With experience in onion cultivation, since 2020 she has continued to buy and rent more land in Thai Tan and Quoc Tuan communes to grow onions. At one point, her family cultivated up to 7 acres of onions.

Currently, Ms. Huong mainly supplies processed onions. From October of the previous year to January of the following year, her family usually supplies more than 1,000 tons of onions. She provides regular employment for 4 workers with an income of 350,000 - 400,000 VND/day, and during peak season, there are up to 6 - 7 workers with an income of 500,000 - 600,000 VND/day.

Deeply attached to the fields, Ms. Huong is present in the fields every day to buy onions. After the harvest, whenever a household calls, no matter how far away, she personally rides her motorbike to inspect and buy onions from the farmers. She and her husband have renovated their house, making it spacious and well-equipped, and bought a car. Their family life is stable, and their children are well-behaved in school.

Ms. Luu Thi He, Head of the Women's Association of An Dong village, said: "Ms. Huong is good at public affairs, manages her household well, and is diligent in business. She actively participates in emulation movements and contributes to building the women's association of the commune. Both she and her husband are members of the village's arts and culture club."

With her spirit of overcoming difficulties and her eagerness to learn and become wealthy, Ms. Huong is a shining example for women in the village and commune to emulate.
