On July 18th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced information regarding the 2024 high school graduation exam. According to the announcement, the high school graduation rate reached 99.68%. Aside from Literature, no candidates achieved a perfect score of 10 in Mathematics (12 candidates scored 9.5 in Literature and 8 candidates scored 9.8 in Mathematics, the highest possible score). In the remaining 7 subjects, Ho Chi Minh City had a total of 425 candidates who achieved the maximum score.

In addition, Le Hoang, a student from Phu Nhuan High School, and Nguyen Hao Thien, a student from Le Thanh Tong Primary, Secondary, and High School, are both top scorers in Block D with a total score of 27.85 points in Mathematics, Literature, and English. However, Ho Chi Minh City remains committed to the reforms mentioned above."
