Statistics show that the number of candidates scoring 8 points or more has decreased sharply in all subjects. This leads to the score distribution of traditional admission blocks no longer being as skewed to the right as in previous years.

The traditional university admission score distribution will be the basis for candidates to easily visualize which segment their test scores fall into within the average score range of the admission combinations. From there, they can decide to choose the admission wish that best suits their ability to pass.
After knowing the exam scores ( the Ministry of Education and Training announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 16), candidates wishing to apply for university and college admission in 2025 need to pay attention to the admission timelines so as not to miss the opportunity to enter their favorite school or major.
Accordingly, candidates who are eligible for direct admission and priority admission must submit their applications before 5:00 p.m. on June 30. Candidates who are eligible for direct admission will be notified by training institutions before July 15, and must continue to register their admission wishes on the admission system according to the general schedule.
Other candidates register their admission wishes on the system from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28 (no limit on the number of wishes). After this deadline, candidates will not be able to change their registered wishes. From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates pay the admission fee online on the system.
Before this time, on July 21, the Ministryof Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure input quality for teaching and health sectors with practice licenses.
From 5:00 p.m. on July 23, training institutions will announce the scores for receiving application documents and equivalent converted admission scores on the system and on the websites of the training institutions.
Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission from 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Candidates will confirm their admission online for the first round on the system from 5:00 p.m. on August 30. Training institutions (with remaining quotas) will notify additional admissions from September 1.
July 19: Festival for choosing university and college admission wishes in 2025
After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2025 high school graduation exam scores, two days of university and college admission selection will take place simultaneously in Ho Chi Minh City (University of Technology, 268 Ly Thuong Kiet, Dien Hong Ward), and Hanoi (Hanoi University of Technology) on July 19, organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in coordination with the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) with the support of Vingroup Corporation.
The event was attended by experts from the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, and experienced career counselors. All questions from parents and candidates about registering for admission and information related to admission will be thoroughly answered by experts.
It is expected that there will be hundreds of direct consulting booths from universities, colleges, vocational schools and study abroad consulting units with a strong consulting team also present in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to clear up all questions about enrollment for candidates.
