Attending the event were Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Quach Quang Dong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry, and leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong and Ninh Binh provinces.
On the side of Samsung Vietnam, there was Mr. Kim Tea Hoon - Deputy General Director in charge of Purchasing Center - Samsung Vietnam, and Samsung representatives.

The Smart Factory Development Cooperation Project 2025 was launched on May 19, 2025, with the goal of supporting Vietnamese enterprises in the manufacturing sector to improve management capacity, optimize operations, promote digital transformation and move towards a smart factory model according to international standards.
The project is implemented in 5 enterprises in the Northern region and 5 enterprises in the Southern region. 5 enterprises participating in the project in the Northern region include: An Lap Plastic Company Limited (Bac Ninh), Van Long Technical Plastic Joint Stock Company ( Hai Phong ), Vina Technology Joint Stock Company (Thai Nguyen), Korea Vietnam Technical Copper Company Limited - KCT (Ninh Binh), AMA Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company.

After more than 5 months of implementation at these enterprises, the project has recorded many impressive results such as: Successfully deploying an IoT system to collect and analyze real-time data, helping to reduce process errors and easily monitor progress; Optimizing layouts, automating many processes to help improve efficiency...
After the project, the consulted enterprises will continue to develop smart factory systems under online consultation from Korean experts to help improve competitiveness, increase the ability to participate in global supply chains, and contribute to promoting the development of Vietnam's supporting industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kim Tea Hoon - Deputy General Director in charge of Purchasing Center - Samsung Vietnam, said: "Over the past ten years, in order to realize the goal of increasing the competitiveness of Vietnam's supporting industry, Samsung has focused on implementing improvement activities at the production site such as: improving production capacity, product quality; building systems as well as training experts in related fields. In particular, from this year, we have paid more attention to expanding opportunities to participate in Samsung's supply chain for businesses that have participated in the project. In addition, there is a change in the approach to the smart factory construction support program. Samsung is committed to continuing its efforts to contribute to the development of Vietnamese businesses."
The "2025 Smart Factory Development Cooperation Project" is also being implemented at 5 enterprises in the Southern region including Dien Quang Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, Nhat Minh TT Joint Stock Company, Tokoseiki Vietnam Co., Ltd., Hautech Vietnam Precision Engineering Joint Stock Company and Viet Nguyen Precision Engineering Co., Ltd., the project is expected to be concluded in November 2025.
The Smart Factory Development Cooperation Project is a cooperation initiative between Samsung and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, aiming to improve production, management and digital transformation capacity for businesses in the supporting industry sector.
From 2022 to present, the project has accompanied 82 Vietnamese enterprises on the journey of improving and building smart factory platforms and trained 123 smart factory experts.
Along with this project, since 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung have coordinated to effectively implement many programs to develop Vietnam's supporting industry such as: an innovation consulting program to help improve the competitiveness of 379 Vietnamese enterprises; training 406 experts in supporting industry; training 209 mold technicians...
