From a bird’s eye view, the rice fields are layer upon layer, creating an incredibly soft and charming scene. The curves of the fields hug the mountainside, reflecting the afternoon sunlight, creating a beauty that is both majestic and poetic.

At the foot of the hill, hundreds of tourists, including many young people and students from Hanoi , Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai... eagerly came to admire and take souvenir photos on the terraced fields, posing in the middle of the golden rice fields, capturing beautiful frames of youth and nature.

To get to Mu Cang Chai, you can travel from Hanoi along Highway 32, through Nghia Lo and Tu Le, a distance of about 300 km. Buses depart daily from My Dinh and Giap Bat stations, with ticket prices ranging from 250,000 to 350,000 VND. For those who love to explore, traveling by private car or motorbike is a memorable experience - the winding mountain pass but the scenery on both sides of the Lao Cai mountains and forests (formerly Yen Bai province) is breathtakingly beautiful.

“It took us nearly 6 hours by car to get here, but when we saw this scene with our own eyes, all our fatigue disappeared. The scene was like a dream,” shared MC Dong Thu (VTV).

Mu Cang Chai is located at an altitude of over 1,000 m, is home to the Mong people with a tradition of cultivating terraced fields for hundreds of years. Each terraced field is the crystallization of ingenuity, perseverance and harmony between humans and nature.

The journey to see the ripe rice fields in Mu Cang Chai would not be complete without the rustic dishes of the Mong people. Visitors can enjoy fragrant sticky rice, grilled stream fish (pa pỉnh tộp), grilled local pork, men men or wild bee pupae, all of which have the rich flavor of the mountains and forests. This season, Tu Le green rice is also in season and many people buy it as a gift.

As the sun sets, the sun covers the terraced fields in a soft orange-yellow light. The last rays of the day pass through the mountain slopes, reflecting on the faces of locals and tourists, ending an emotional day in the golden season of the Northwest. “Golden season of Mu Cang Chai” offers a panoramic view of the majestic and wild beauty, where nature, people and youth blend together in the endless golden color of the mountains and forests.

Upon arrival, visitors can rent a motorbike or local motorbike taxi to get to photo spots such as Mam Xoi hill or “dinosaur spine” – small, steep roads, just enough for motorbikes to squeeze through the fields. The deeper you go, the more majestic the scenery becomes, the sunlight shining down on each terrace of rice fields makes everyone want to stop for a long time.

Not only Mam Xoi hill, Mu Cang Chai has many other sightseeing spots such as Vanh Mong Nguu, La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha or De Xu Phinh, places with "millions of views" for panoramic views of golden fields and villages looming in the clouds. From Khau Pha pass, one of the "four great mountain passes" of Vietnam, visitors can have a panoramic view of Tu Le valley and the endless layers of rice fields.
