According to the Da Nang Statistics Department, in the first eight months of 2025, the city welcomed 12.8 million visitors, including 5 million international tourists, a 23.4% increase compared to the same period last year. This number continued to rise sharply in the third quarter, with Da Nang recording over 5.8 million international visitors in the first nine months of the year.

Among international tourist markets visiting Da Nang, European visitors are particularly impressed with the city on the Han River. From the Netherlands to Turkey, international writers have called Da Nang "an unmissable stop on the journey to discover Vietnam" - a place where cultural colors, architecture, and nature blend together in a picture that delights Western tourists. In an article published in Azië & Down Under Magazine (Netherlands), journalist Mark Lieffers described Da Nang as "a city where tradition and modernity coexist, where the past and future are present on a bright horizon."

The fairytale-like scenery of Sun World Ba Na Hills "enchants" visitors.

The attraction of Da Nang is pointed out by the newspapers because the city has many outstanding tourist attractions, with iconic bridges, historical sites, and unique cuisine . All traditional experiences are harmoniously blended with modern and attractive entertainment experiences, and most prominent of all, is the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area.

Located at an altitude of 1,414 meters above sea level, Sun World Ba Na Hills has been dubbed "paradise in the clouds" by European writers. The cable car ride to the summit of Ba Na is not simply a means of transportation, but a world-class engineering masterpiece, holding numerous Guinness World Records that leave both domestic and international tourists in awe. Author Lieffers describes the more than 5-kilometer cable car ride to the resort as "flying into another world." From a similar perspective, TourMaG magazine (France) describes the experience of riding the cable car to the summit of Ba Na as "a ritual of emotion" – when you leave the hustle and bustle of life to enter a surreal space where architecture and nature blend seamlessly.

Tourists from all over the world love to check in when they visit the "fairyland" of Ba Na Hills.

Upon arriving at Sun World Ba Na Hills, Ayşe Akalın, a writer for Aviation Turkey, remarked that Ba Na Hills is "a fairytale land in the midst of reality." TravMag (Belgium) likened Ba Na to "an unexpected mirror reflecting a familiar image of themselves from a completely different perspective"—a blend of French romance and the gentleness of Vietnamese culture, skillfully combined to the point of resembling "a magical world in the clouds." According to this foreign journalist, Ba Na Hills attracts visitors not only with its architecture but also with its pleasant climate, as if "living through all four seasons in one day." Author Akalın describes: "The morning is gentle like spring, the midday is brilliant like summer, the afternoon has a gentle autumn breeze, and the night is cool like winter. Here, time seems to stand still, and each moment has a different flavor." It is this ever-changing nature that leads many Western tourists to describe Ba Na Hills as "a playground amidst the clouds," where people, nature, and emotions blend together, and you can never predict what Ba Na will offer you.

According to TravMag (Belgium), for those seeking Instagrammable scenery, Ba Na Hills is the place that has it all. From the French Village, Fantasy Park indoor amusement park, unique themed slides and games, strolling along cobblestone streets, visiting St. Denis Church and the bustling square, visitors can also immerse themselves in unexpected street shows, vibrant music, or visit Ba Na Brewhouse – the highest-altitude brewery in Vietnam – all creating a complete experience. Aviation Turkey noted that it is this "harmonious combination of natural scenery, architecture, and experiences" that has made Ba Na Hills one of the most outstanding destinations in Southeast Asia.

The Golden Bridge – a "global media sensation" – has become a tourism icon of Vietnam.

But what particularly captivated international media was the Golden Bridge – an iconic landmark of Vietnamese tourism that transformed Ba Na Hills into a global media sensation, according to Ikkunpaikka (Finland). Suspended amidst the clouds, the nearly 150-meter-long bridge resembles a gracefully curved silk ribbon, supported by two giant stone hands rising from the mountainside. The bridge was described as a sight "beyond imagination" (TourMaG). Aviation Turkey, on the other hand, called it a "magical, fairytale-like masterpiece, as if a giant from Vietnamese mythology is lifting the bridge in his hands."

With glowing reviews from European writers, Sun World Ba Na Hills is a must-see destination for any traveler exploring Da Nang. The trip becomes even more complete when, after relaxing by the sea and discovering the unique culture and cuisine of the city on the Han River, visitors step into a surreal world at the summit of Ba Na – where wonders await beyond the clouds, just as TourMag commented: "It's as if Europe and Asia meet on this mountaintop."
