Mr. Yong Sovathana, Deputy Governor of Takeo Province; Mr. Khon Sereiratha, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province; Mr. Khieu Rithiphon, Deputy Governor of Kampot Province; Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade); Mr. Le Trung Ho, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province; along with representatives from departments and agencies of An Giang Province and neighboring provinces; local authorities; businesses and the people attended the event.

In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho emphasized that the fair is an opportunity for economic exchange and cooperation between industries and localities nationwide, linking activities and supporting each other for mutual development, contributing to improving production and business capacity and competitiveness in the trend of international economic integration.

This is also an opportunity to connect and promote trade, tourism, and investment between provinces in the Southern key economic region and neighboring Cambodia; and to boost cross-border trade between businesses, especially those from Cambodia.

According to Lê Trung Hồ, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, the fair contributes to supporting units and businesses in perfecting and developing products, enhancing their competitiveness in the market; developing business partners, expanding branches and distribution agents, joint ventures and linkages, networking, and seeking opportunities for trade and investment cooperation.

The fair also provides an opportunity for Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses to meet, interact, showcase their image, and promote their specialty products to domestic and international tourists; to connect, cooperate in business, expand consumer markets, and enhance consumer demand stimulation activities.
In particular, the organization of this trade fair aims to create momentum for the preparation of the APEC 2027 Summit in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.

The OCOP Trade Fair in the Vietnam-Cambodia border region took place from December 10th to 16th, featuring approximately 200 booths showcasing, introducing, and promoting regional specialty products from 80 businesses in Vietnam and Cambodia.
