Vietnam tourism is about to enter the peak season at the end of the year due to the number of international visitors traveling to avoid the winter. According to a survey by the Post Office (based in the UK) cited by Time Out magazine, Hoi An in Vietnam was honored as the most economical long-distance destination for this winter. This is one of 10 remote locations where European and American tourists can enjoy more for the money spent.

PostOffice analyzed the data based on the daily cost of various items. According to the unit, in Hoi An, a three-course dinner for two, including a bottle of restaurant wine, costs from 40 GBP (about 1.4 million VND), while a bottle of local beer costs 1.23 GBP (about 50,000 VND). In addition, Hoi An is also one of the most photogenic cities in Vietnam, with cobblestone streets winding around a shimmering lantern-lit river, world- class street food, idyllic beaches and a bustling night market.
Last month, Hoi An tourism also continued to affirm its global appeal when it was recently honored in many prestigious rankings, from "The most attractive historical center in Asia" voted by Tourlane (France) to the title "Top 50 most beautiful villages in the world" for Cam Thanh village according to Forbes (USA).
Behind Hoi An are Cape Town (South Africa), Bali (Indonesia), Mombasa (Kenya), Tokyo (Japan), Columbo (Sri Lanka), Penang (Malysia), Delhi (India), Phuket (Thailand), Santiago (Chile).
