Mr. Vuong is also among the billionaires with the fastest-growing net worth in the world today.
With this level of wealth, Mr. Vuong ranks 119th on the list of the world's richest people.
Within Asia, Mr. Vuong currently ranks 29th on the list of the richest billionaires.
The increase in the Vingroup chairman's wealth coincided with the positive performance of VIC shares on the HoSE stock exchange.
At the close of trading on October 14th, VIC shares surged to nearly 211,900 VND per share, up more than 3.1% from the previous day.
Over the past year, VIC's share price has increased by more than 400%, leading to a continuous increase in the net worth of the group's leader.
