The project "E-commerce platform ocopai.vn" won First Prize in the Nghe An Open Creative Startup Talent Search Competition 2025

The project "E-commerce platform ocopai.vn" by the group of authors Tran Nam Trung, Le Hien Mai, Nguyen Quoc Duong - Vinhmedia Communication Company Limited was honored to be awarded the First Prize of the Nghe An Open Creative Startup Talent Search Contest 2025.

On October 10, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An organized the Award Ceremony of the Nghe An Open Creative Startup Talent Search Competition 2025 (Techfest Nghe An Open 2025). 10 outstanding creative startup projects were awarded at this year's Competition.

The competition is an important event in the Techfest Nghe An Open 2025 series organized by the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Science and Technology. The competition is a platform to search for, nurture and support potential startup ideas and projects related to the province's strengths and development needs. This is also an opportunity for startups to connect with experts, investors, incubation programs, as well as enjoy the province's startup support policies.

Techfest Nghe An Open 2025 aims to solve practical problems with innovative thinking, especially in the fields of high-tech agriculture , tourism, trade, cultural industry, information technology and financial services. Techfest Nghe An Open 2025 is not only a competition, but also a driving force to create the Lam River Miracle, realizing the aspiration to develop the province, contributing to the era of national development.

The competition received 132 applications from participating organizations and individuals. After the Training and Preliminary rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 20 projects with the highest scores to enter the Final round. Of which, 10 outstanding innovative startup projects were awarded, including: 01 First Prize; 02 Second Prizes; 03 Third Prizes; 04 Encouragement Prizes. The remaining 10 projects were recognized as Potential Startup Projects.

This is a specialized e-commerce platform for Nghe An OCOP products, not only a place to buy and sell goods but also a digital space to preserve and tell the cultural story of each local product, a cultural and economic bridge to help consumers access clean - standard - safe products, affirming the Nghe An OCOP brand on the map of Vietnam's e-commerce.

This year's competition has recorded the participation of projects and startup products in the fields of digital technology, digital transformation, e-commerce, smart solutions, etc. This is a potential and promising startup trend, demonstrating the creativity, keeping up with trends and strong aspirations of Nghe An's young people in the digital age, especially in the context of Nghe An being a pioneer in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW, taking science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as strategic levers to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and social welfare, realizing the aspiration for rapid and sustainable development by 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The projects and products all demonstrate creativity and high applicability, aiming to solve practical problems in production and life. Notable examples include: E-commerce platform ocopai.vn; Craftverse - VR/AR technology connecting the quintessence, spreading the value of handicrafts; Tin hoc tre Pro - Online programming learning and exam preparation platform for primary and secondary school students; MoneyLog - Smart spending management software; Self-driving ROBOT for transporting goods...

Within the framework of the Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee launched the Nghe An Creative Startup Talent Search Competition 2026 with the message "Aspiration for innovation - Breakthrough creativity - Building the future".

2026 is the opening year for the implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and also the year marking an important turning point in the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development and application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation by 2045. Nghe An province clearly identifies: Innovation and start-up are the core driving forces to improve competitiveness, develop a knowledge-based economy and international integration; Creative start-up is not only an inevitable trend, but also a spirit of action, an aspiration to contribute of the young generation, those who dare to think, dare to do, dare to break through to rise up and master their own future. Therefore, the 2026 competition aims to connect the entire startup ecosystem, spread the spirit of "Nghe An people starting a business on Nghe An land", and arouse creative energy in all classes of people - entrepreneurs, youth, intellectuals, farmers, women, overseas Vietnamese - to join hands in innovation and value creation.

The Techfest Nghe An Open 2025 event series is one of the important activities responding to the National Innovation Day (October 1), National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) and towards the 66th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology (October 25, 1959 - October 25, 2025).
