Immediately after returning from the 2025 Women's Volleyball Championship, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy went to Japan to officially join the Gunma Green Wings Club.

Thanh Thuy's trip abroad is highly anticipated, as she promises to hold an important position in the Japanese team. In the friendly match in September, Thanh Thuy played quite well.

And the girl from Binh Duong did not disappoint her home fans, as well as Gunma Green Wings fans, when entering the official tournament. In the opening round of the SV League - the highest league of Japanese volleyball, Gunma Green Wings defeated Queenseis Kariya with a score of 3-1.

Gunma Green Wings lost the first set by a close score of 29-31, but then exploded to win the next three games in a row with scores of 25-19, 27-25 and 25-21.

In that spectacular comeback, Thanh Thuy contributed greatly. She scored a total of 17 points in 4 games, including 16 points from attack and 1 point from blocking.

Besides her familiar main attacking role, Thanh Thuy also shines with many effective blocking moves. Her impressive height helps Thanh Thuy play flexibly, holding many different roles in the match.

This victory opens up an extremely promising future for Thanh Thuy in Japan. The golden girl of Vietnamese volleyball has been abroad many times, mostly in Japan.

This is the 7th foreign club Thanh Thuy has played for in her career. In 2015, the girl from Binh Duong went abroad for the first time, playing for Bangkok Glass of Thailand.

Next, Thanh Thuy continued to play for the clubs Attack Line VC (Taiwan), Denso Airybees (Japan), PFU BlueCats (Japan), Kuzeyboru (Türkiye), then Gresik (Indonesia).

At the age of 28, Thanh Thuy's time to play at her peak is clearly running out. Therefore, most volleyball fans in the country are hoping that the "golden girl" can shine in this trip abroad.
